Volunteer Life Skills Youth Worker (Training Kitchen)

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Saturday 4-9pm 
  • Sunday 11-3pm

Our Volunteer Life Skills Youth Workers help us to deliver sessions that bring young people together to learn domestic skills. They support young people’s creativity in the kitchen and encourage them to explore new ideas through food to build their confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing.

Volunteer Performing Arts Youth Worker

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Friday 4-9pm 
  • Saturday 11-3pm 
  • Saturday 5-9pm

Our Volunteer Performing Arts Youth Workers help us to deliver sessions that bring
young people together to celebrate creativity and performance. They support young
people’s creative skills and encourage them to explore new ideas through performance
to build their confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing.

Volunteer Arts and Crafts Youth Worker

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Our Volunteer Arts and Crafts Youth Workers help us to deliver arts and crafts sessions
that bring young people together to celebrate creativity. They support young people’s
creative skills and encourage them to explore new ideas through art to build their
confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing.

Volunteer Sports Youth Worker

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

  • Monday 4-9pm 
  • Wednesday 4-9pm 
  • Thursday 4-8pm 
  • Friday 4-9pm 
  • Saturday 4-9pm

Our Volunteer Sports Youth Workers help us to deliver sports sessions that bring
young people together. These sessions enable young people to build their
confidence, social skills and overall well-being through physical activity.

Volunteer Employability Youth Worker

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Monday 4-9pm 
  • Wednesday 4-9pm 
  • Friday 4-9pm 
  • Sunday 12-3pm

Our Volunteer Employability Youth Workers help us deliver employability support through our careers and enterprise provision. They support young people’s career aspirations, celebrate their skills, experience and qualities. They help us to encourage them to take opportunities both in and out of the centre, that develop their skills and characters.

Volunteer Employability and Enterprise Youth Worker (Enterprise) 

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Monday 4-9pm 
  • Tuesday 4-8pm 
  • Wednesday 4-9pm 
  • Thursday 4-8pm 
  • Friday 4-9pm 

Our Volunteer Employability Youth Workers help us deliver employability support through our careers and enterprise provision. They support young people’s career aspirations, celebrate their skills, experience and qualities. They help us to encourage them to take opportunities both in and out of the centre, that develop their skills and characters.

Volunteer Youth Worker

Our Volunteer Youth Workers are at the forefront of our sessions. Positioned within the recreation area, they help to create a fun, safe, supportive environment where they engage with young people in a variety of different ways; think playing pool, hosting FIFA tournaments or just having a chat with a young person. In doing so, you will help to build their confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing.

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Saturday 4-9pm (2 opportunities available)

Volunteer Catering and Tuck Shop

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Monday 4-9pm 
  • Tuesday 4-8pm 
  • Wednesday 4-9pm 
  • Thursday 4-8pm 
  • Friday 4-9pm 
  • Saturday 11-3pm  
  • Saturday 4-9pm

Our Catering and Tuck Shop Volunteers help us to provide young people with a hearty, affordable meal for only £1. They’re the friendly faces who support the smooth running of sessions by making sure bellies are full and minds are engaged. This allows us to run sessions for young people that build their confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing.

Volunteer Specialist Skill Worker

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: Flexible

Do you have a special skill that you think our young people would be interested in? If so, you can really make this role your own! We’re looking for volunteers who can inspire our young people to think creatively, dream big and look at the world a little differently. If this sounds like something you could do, then we want to hear from you!

Volunteer Front of House

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 2 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Tuesday 3.30pm-5.30pm
  • Thursday 3.30pm-5.30pm
  • Saturday 10.30am-12.30pm

Our Front of House Volunteers provide us with vital support, welcoming in and seeing out young people joining our sessions. They interact with parents to make sure everything runs smoothly for our young people. This helps us to run sessions for young people that build their confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing.

Volunteer Outdoor Adventure Youth Worker

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: Ad Hoc (although there is flexibility in this)

Our Outdoor Adventure Volunteers will help us to deliver outdoor based trips and sessions to our young people and families. They encourage young people and their families to stretch their comfort zones through trying new activities, explore new surroundings safely, and build skills and confidence in the outdoors
