Volunteer Catering and Tuck Shop

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Monday 5-7pm 
  • Tuesday 4-7pm 
  • Wednesday 5-7pm 
  • Thursday 4-7pm 
  • Friday 5-7pm 
  • Saturday 11am-2pm
  • Saturday 5-7pm  

Our Catering and Tuck Shop Volunteers help us to provide young people with a hearty, affordable meal for only £1. They’re the friendly faces who support the smooth running of sessions by making sure bellies are full and minds are engaged. This allows us to run sessions for young people that build their confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing.

Volunteer Employability Youth Worker

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Sunday (Inclusion) 10.45am-3.15pm

Our Volunteer Employability Youth Workers help us deliver employability support through our careers and enterprise provision. They support young people’s career aspirations, celebrate their skills, experience and qualities. They help us to encourage them to take opportunities both in and out of the centre, that develop their skills and characters.

Volunteer Front of House

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 2 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Tuesday 4pm-6pm
  • Thursday 4pm-6pm
  • Saturday 11am-1pm
  • Sunday 11am-1.30pm

Our Front of House Volunteers provide us with vital support, welcoming in and seeing out young people joining our sessions. They interact with parents to make sure everything runs smoothly for our young people. This helps us to run sessions for young people that build their confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing.

Volunteer Inclusion Youth Worker

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Sunday 10.45am-3.15pm

Our Volunteer Inclusion Youth Workers help us deliver specialist sessions that provide young people with additional needs the opportunity to engage with their peers in a range of fun and inclusive activities; this helps to build their confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing. The sessions also provide a supportive environment for young people with additional support needs and their families or guardians to connect.

Volunteer Life Skills Youth Worker (Wellbeing / Training Kitchen)

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Sunday (Inclusion) 10.45am-3.15pm

Our Volunteer Life Skills Youth Workers help us to deliver sessions that bring young people together to learn domestic skills. They support young people’s creativity in the kitchen and encourage them to explore new ideas through food to build their confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing.

Volunteer Performing Arts Youth Worker (Music)

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Monday 5pm-9pm
  • Tuesday 5pm-8pm
  • Friday 5pm-9pm
  • Saturday 11am-3pm
  • Saturday 5pm-9pm
  • Sunday (Inclusion) 10.45am-3.15pm

Our Volunteer Performing Arts Youth Workers help us to deliver sessions that bring young people together to celebrate creativity and performance. They support young people’s creative skills and encourage them to explore new ideas through performance to build their confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing.

Volunteer Sports Youth Worker

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Friday 6pm-9pm
  • Alternate Saturdays 4pm-9pm

Our Volunteer Sports Youth Workers help us to deliver sports sessions that bring young people together. These sessions enable young people to build their confidence, social skills and overall well-being through physical activity.

Volunteer Sports Youth Worker (Gym / Fitness Qualified)

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Wednesday 5pm-8pm
  • Friday 5pm-9pm
  • Saturday 11am-3pm
  • Saturday 5pm-8pm
  • Sunday (Inclusion) 10.45am-3.15pm

Our Volunteer Sports Youth Workers help us to deliver sports sessions that bring young people together. These sessions enable young people to build their confidence, social skills and overall well-being through physical activity.

Volunteer Youth Worker

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: 4 hours per week (although there is flexibility in this)

Hours available:

  • Saturday 4pm-9pm
  • Sunday (Inclusion) 10.45am-3.15pm

Our Volunteer Youth Workers are at the forefront of our sessions. Positioned within the recreation area, they help to create a fun, safe, supportive environment where they engage with young people in a variety of different ways; think playing pool, hosting FIFA tournaments or just having a chat with a young person. In doing so, you will help to build their confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing.

Volunteer Driver

Location: HideOut Youth Zone

Suggested Time Commitment: Ad hoc

Our Volunteer Drivers make it possible for us to offer exciting trips for the young people who come to our Youth Zone. In addition to this, they provide us with vital logistical support (by picking up donations from partners in the community) that allows us to run sessions for young people that build their confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing.

They help to create a fun, safe, supportive environment where they engage with young people in a variety of different ways; think playing pool, hosting FIFA tournaments or just having a chat with a young person. In doing so, you will help to build their confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing.
