HideOut Youth Zone is a state-of-the-art £6.6m facility currently under construction in East Manchester opening in Spring 2020. Attracting young people from across the city and beyond through its fantastic facilities, the Youth Zone is a registered charity and will provide positive activities and practical support, with the aim of enabling young people to make constructive use of their leisure time and raise their aspirations.

THE ROLE

The Senior Club Co-Ordinator will work across all Youth Zone sessions and have lead responsibility for the Senior Club offer to 13-19 years (up to 25 for those with additional needs). It will take responsibility for ensuring there is a high-quality, creative and fun offer and provide young people with the best possible experiences and opportunities. You will have a passion to put young people first and be responsible for the continuous improvement of the delivery and inputting towards the strategic delivery plan for HideOut Youth Zone.

THE PERSON

You will:

  • Have proven experience of working with young people aged 13 to 19 (25 for those with additional needs) in a range of settings, including open access youth work
  • Be able to engage vulnerable, disengaged or hard to reach young people
  • Have experience of managing a staff team including volunteers and experience of dealing with safeguarding issues within a multi-agency setting
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to young people and have the ability to engage and build positive relationships

A truly unique opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced Senior Fundraiser to work alongside the Chief Executive and key members of the Trustee Board, in philanthropy. You will lead on the strategic development and implementation of new, diverse income streams for a brand new, Manchester based young people’s charity!

HideOut Youth Zone is a state-of-the-art £6.6m facility currently under construction in Gorton, East Manchester and is due to open in Spring 2020. Attracting young people from across the city and beyond through its fantastic facilities, the Youth Zone is a registered charity and will provide positive activities and practical support, with the aim of enabling young people to make constructive use of their leisure time and raise their aspirations. This is a brand-new role offering the opportunity to be involved in shaping the financial future of the Youth Zone; and joins the OnSide network of Youth Zones across the country.

The Role

This role is for a key member of our Senior Leadership Team with ambition and experience in fundraising. The successful candidate will have a huge amount of autonomy to shape a fundraising programme at the point of the Youth Zone opening. The Head of Fundraising will have responsibility for the generation and management of income through a range of revenue funding streams with a key focus on stewarding relationships with major donors, establishing private sector partnerships and seeking income via grants and trusts, individuals, and fundraising events.

Do you want to use your artistic, sporting, creative or media skills to change young people’s lives? If you have a passion for putting young people first, we want to hear from you!

Our state-of-the-art £6.6m facility is currently under construction in Belle Vue, East Manchester and will open in June 2020 to provide a safe and inspiring place for thousands of young people aged 8 – 19 (up to 25 for those with additional needs). With that in mind we’re looking for the incredible team of sessional Youth Workers that will help to bring the new Youth Zone to life and deliver positive, empowering and constructive activities for young people.

Open 7-nights a week, 52-weeks a year plus school holidays, HideOut Youth Zone’s incredible facilities will include a 3G pitch, skate park, 30ft climbing wall, boxing/mixed martial arts gym, 4-court sports hall, sensory room, fitness suite, recreation area and dance, arts, music and media suites and much more.

We’re looking for approximately 60 Youth Workers with experience of delivering activities for children and young people in the following areas:
