Chief Executive
Adam, former Head of Youth Strategy and Engagement at Manchester City Council, was appointed CEO of HideOut Youth Zone in January 2019. He has over 20 years of experience in leading and managing youth projects and has a keen interest in bringing communities together in support of young people.
With the development of Salford Youth Zone, Adam is the CEO of Empower Youth Zones, the charity that oversees both HideOut and Salford Youth Zone.
Director of Fundraising and Communications
Patti started at HideOut Youth Zone in April 2023, and is responsible for all communications and fundraising activity. Patti has a lot of experience in this area after working at Salford University for over a decade. This wealth of experience will be vital in the new Salford Youth Zone project, in which Patti will oversee both sites.
Director of Operations
Alex joined HideOut Youth Zone in September 2024 as the Director of Operations.
Alex will drive the development and execution of HideOut’s operational plans and the development of the annual business plans.
Alex will support, lead and motivate the Operational Leadership Teams, taking responsibility for the efficient and effective delivery of the internal operations of the Youth Zones.
Head of Youth Work & Partnerships
Kerin began her OnSide journey working as a youth worker at Wigan Youth Zone, before moving to Bolton Lads & Girls Club as their Creative Arts Coordinator. For the last 2 years, Kerin has led HideOut’s Senior Club as our Senior Club Coordinator, before being promoted to Deputy Head of Youth Work & Partnerships in December 2022 to now Head of Youth Work & Partnerships.
Head of Finance
Sam is Empower’s Head of Finance. Sam leads on the strategic finance and administration, enabling the smooth running of the Youth Zone. This is a critical role in Empower’s mission to provide young people with affordable access to fun and inspiring opportunities.
Business & People Manager
Sophie has worked at HideOut since it opened in 2020. Sophie started at HideOut in the Reception team managing memberships and the front desk. She then started working in the main office managing all aspects of finance and HR, which leads to her current role as Business & People Manager.
Grants & Trusts Manager
Martin is an experienced bid writer and has experience working for national charities such as Comic Relief, The Kings Fund and NHS Charities Together. Martin is responsible for ensuring income through major grants and trust donations.
Philanthropy Manager
Lily joined HideOut Youth Zone in October 2024 as the Philanthropy Manager.
Lily brings 10 years of experience partnering with brands and businesses on projects focused on driving cultural change.
As the new Philanthropy Manager, Lily will be building connections with our donor and Patrons community, so we can create even more opportunities for our young people.
Data Impact Manager
Scott works across both EMPOWER and Wigan as Data Impact Manager.
Scott leads on data analysis and reporting on the data we hold in our Salesforce CRM, improving both the quality and quantity of monitoring and evaluation processes, driving improvement in data capture through training and upskilling the team, and demonstrating the measurable impact of youth work delivered.
Digital Communications Assistant
Amy joined HideOut in 2021 as a Digital Communications Apprentice through The Juice Academy. Since then Amy has developed her skills and confidence, and has since been promoted and offered a full-time contract as our Digital Communications Assistant, running all of EMPOWER’s social media.
Philanthropy Manager
Kelly previously worked in a hospice charity before moving to HideOut. In her current role, Kelly oversees the relationships with HideOut’s Patrons and supporters.
Deputy Youth Work Manager
Rupert was previously a Youth Worker at HideOut and has since been promoted to Deputy Youth Work Manager. Rupert runs our Level Up sessions on a Monday, as well as supporting our Junior and Senior Club Manager. Rupert also runs our Holiday Club offer during the half-terms.
Deputy Youth Club Coordinator
Taylor previously worked at HideOut as a sessional youth worker, whilst also working in PRUs and SEN educational organisations. Taylor was promoted to Deputy Youth Club Coordinator in October 2022 and now leads on Youth Voice at HideOut.
Sports Coordinator
Zoe manages all sporting activity in HideOut. Zoe is keen to promote the different kind of sports, ensuring all activity is inclusive and accessible.
Creative Arts Coordinator – Music & Multi-Media
Eva has worked as a sessional Youth Worker since HideOut opened in 2020. She is a local music artist. Eva was promoted to Creative Arts Coordinator and is responsible for Music and Multi-Media.
Junior Youth Club & Holiday Club Coordinator
Nathan oversees both Junior Club sessions and HideOut’s Holiday Club programme which runs each school Holiday. Nathan joined HideOut in 2020 but has worked in other Youth Zones across the OnSide network.
Catering Supervisor
Donna manages Queen Bee’s café – the café situated in HideOut. Donna ensures all young people have access to a healthy and affordable meal. In 2021, Donna achieved a 5* hygiene rating for HideOut!
Reception & Membership Manager
Ejiro leads the reception team, focused on delivering exceptional service to both members and visitors. She is the primary point of contact, ensuring everyone receives a warm welcome and that inquiries are handled promptly and efficiently.
