TikTok influencer leads dance workshop for young people.

HideOut Youth Zone kicked off the Christmas celebrations by welcoming TikTok influencer, Laurie Elle, to the Youth Zone on Wednesday 21st December to lead a dance workshop with Senior Club members.

Laurie Elle is a dancer and lifestyle blogger from Manchester who has over 4.1million followers on TikTok alone.

This opportunity was provided as part of Amazon UK’s #DeliveringSmiles campaign.

Amazon UK teamed up with national youth charity, OnSide, to provide funding, projects and workshops to Youth Zones across the UK part of their wider commitment to supporting young people.

HideOut is part of the OnSide Youth Zone network, which is a growing group of Youth Zones across the UK, in which HideOut was the 14th Youth Zone to be developed.

Laurie Elle said:

“The Youth Zone charity and Amazon gave me the opportunity dance with the young people at a local youth zone. We had so much fun teaching each other dances and filming videos together.

“Youth Zone’s are an important place for young people as they give them somewhere to go when they’re not in school and enables them to get involved in positive activities. It was so nice to see everyone so supportive of each other and making the most of the incredible facilities around the building – thanks for having me!”

Speaking of her involvement in the workshop, Senior Club member, Erin, said:

“I really enjoyed the TikTok session with Laurie Elle, it made me feel confident in learning new and different types of dances from other platforms such as TikTok rather than in a class. I loved this opportunity and 100% would do it all again, it’s actually inspired me to start posting TikTok dances on my account”

HideOut is dedicated to providing young people with opportunities to find their passion and their purpose by offering over 20 activities at the Youth Zone per evening as well as specialised projects and workshops with local and national businesses and supporters.
