Manchester based housing and community services provider One Manchester, has become the latest Founder Patron supporter of HideOut Youth Zone, a new youth charity located in the heart of Gorton.

HideOut is a £6.6million state-of-the-art Youth Zone which aims to provide young Mancunians with somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. The Zone is now open for young people aged between 8 and 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs.

One Manchester’s mission is to create opportunities, transform communities and change lives and were inspired to become a Founder Patron of HideOut after learning more about Youth Zone’s aims to support thousands of young Mancunians to lead healthier, happier, more aspirational lives.

HideOut’s Founder Patrons are a group of local businesses and philanthropists who are united in support of young people and their ambition to see Manchester flourish.

HideOut offers young people access to an indoor climbing wall, 3G kick pitch, four-court sports hall, dance and drama studio, training kitchen, arts and crafts space, fully equipped gym, music room with a recording studio, enterprise suite and much more.

The Youth Zone’s opening offer has been adapted in line with COVID-19 guidance, to ensure young people can enjoy the wide range of opportunities on offer. Young people will pay just £5 per year to be a member and then only 50p every time they visit which will include access to over 20 fun and engaging activities every night.

Nic Kershaw, Chief Executive at One Manchester said: “The young people of Manchester are crucial to its future, and we’re proud to play a part in supporting them to reach their potential. With COVID-19 clearly affecting our young people disproportionately, facilities like HideOut really demonstrate the investment that people and organisations like us are willing to put into our future generations.”

Adam Farricker, Chief Executive of HideOut Youth Zone said: “We are delighted to welcome One Manchester to our family of Founder Patrons. By working in partnership with One Manchester, HideOut will be supported to help improve the lives of thousands young people and communities in the local area for years to come. We have great ambitions for the area and cannot do it without the incredible support from organisations such as One Manchester.”
