Now recruiting volunteers at HideOut Youth Zone

East Manchester’s HideOut Youth Zone has launched its first volunteer recruitment campaign which aims to recruit 100 volunteers in preparation for its official opening later this year.

Located on Hyde Road in East Manchester, HideOut Youth Zone is a brand-new young people’s charity which will be open to young people aged 8-19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs, 7 days a week for just 50p per visit.

The Youth Zone is seeking the support from local people in order to deliver a wide range of fun and engaging activities for young people including football, indoor climbing, gym, dance, drama, cooking, music, media, arts & crafts, music and much more.

By supporting the youth work team in delivering a wide range of activities, volunteers can expect to develop new skills, meet new people, enhance their cv and have lots of fun all whilst giving back to their community.

Alongside offering over 20 activities every night, the Youth Zone will provide a safe place for young people to find a listening ear, access mentoring, develop their employability skills and enjoy a nutritious hot meal. Volunteers will play a rewarding role in supporting young people to live healthier, happier, more aspirational lives.

No previous volunteering experience is needed as full training will be provided.

Paul Lewis, Volunteer and Training Manager at HideOut Youth Zone said “We are looking for people who are able to donate a few hours of their time each week to benefit the local community. Full training will be provided so all you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in! We are open 7 days a week including evenings and weekends which means more people can get involved through our flexible volunteering times.”
