Mr. Investa ran the Manchester Marathon to raise money for HideOut Youth Zone

On Sunday 16th April, Founder and Managing Director of Mr. Investa, Ryan Hughes, ran the Manchester Marathon to raise money for HideOut Youth Zone.

Mr. Investa is a prop-tech company for national and international investors based in Media City, Salford.

Ryan and the team specialise in the buying and selling of completed and tenanted buy-to-let property allowing tenants to stay in their property and consider tenant engagement an important part of the process.

Ryan was born and raised in Salford and is looking to support the new Salford Youth Zone project.

Subject to plans being approved, the Youth Zone is expected to open in early 2025 and will be located adjacent to Belverdere Rd and Broadwalk in Pendleton

The two Youth Zones (HideOut and Salford) will come under an umbrella charity known as Empower.

Ryan has chosen to support HideOut in the meantime and has specifically chosen to raise funds for HideOut’s Holiday Club.

HideOut’s Holiday Club runs each school holiday and offers a day (8am-5pm) of fun activities for young people to enjoy for just £15 per day. This also includes breakfast, lunch and a snack.

HideOut often offers subsidised spaces for those on Free School Meals. These spaces are funded through different avenues including Manchester City Council, and generous philanthropists such as Mr. Investa.

We are pleased to share that after completing the marathon, Ryan successfully raised over £2,000 which will go towards funding spaces and activities for Holiday Clubs throughout the year.

Ryan aims to raise a total of £5,000 and will continue to fundraise through different fundraising events and initiatives.

Ryan is passionate about supporting young people and giving them opportunities they deserve. He said:

“Growing up in Salford I had nowhere to go and would have loved a space like this to go, eat, chill, spend time with friends and learn new skills. Instead, my friends and I, and other people our age would find ourselves looking for something to do or somewhere to go. Some of the times the stuff they were doing was not right, but I 100% believe if we had something like this back in the day it would have saved so many people from choosing the wrong path.”

HideOut’s Philanthropy Manager, Kelly Taylor, said:

“We are so grateful to Ryan for choosing to support HideOut Youth Zone. The donation will go far in helping us continue to provide somewhere safe to go, something positive to do and someone trusted to talk to. It’s been a pleasure to work alongside Ryan throughout his fundraising campaign, and to see the passion he has for our cause has been amazing. We can’t wait to see where this partnership goes in the future! On behalf of HideOut, thank you Mr. Investa”.
