HideOut Youth Zone celebrates its third year of operations with its local community and supporters.

Tuesday 26th September 2023, saw HideOut Youth Zone officially turn three years old!

As part of celebrating this exciting milestone, HideOut once again invited the community of Manchester through the balloon archway to join in the festivities.

With fun-filled activities to try, engaging presentations from HideOut staff and volunteers, and amazing live performances from HideOut’s members, September 23rd’s Community Day proved to be HideOut’s biggest and liveliest yet – with more than twice as many people coming along and getting involved than we saw in 2022!

HideOut was honoured to welcome over 700 people to its facility, including established members, their families, local residents, local authority representatives and dedicated supporters and patrons, to celebrate the great progress made throughout our journey so far.

The community day offered the opportunity to see exactly what HideOut is about! Who better to showcase this than our young people themselves, who took centre stage throughout the day to sing, play and even DJ to impressed audiences.

These talented displays onstage were similarly matched with great ability and confidence offstage, with our young people forming their own dedicated stage management and media crews to really take responsibility for supporting and capturing the performances of the day.

One of our attending patrons, the JD Foundation said:

“We were thrilled to join the celebration on Saturday during Hideout’s Open Day. Keep it up Hideout! We love seeing the incredible work you do!”

Whilst Teresa Pepper, Labour Councillor for Little Hulton, Salford expressed:

“Loved celebrating with you this evening. Great work supporting young people to be the best they can be and their performances were the best!”

Supporting and celebrating our young people, their ability and achievements, is truly at the heart of HideOut and we are so thrilled to have spent our birthday this year doing just that with so many of our supporters.

Since opening its doors in 2020, HideOut has now grown to a membership of over 7,000 young people. We look forward to continuing to expand and provide even more young people with somewhere safe to go, something positive to do and someone trusted to talk to.

HideOut Youth Zone is open seven days a week, offering over 20 creative, sporting and employability and enterprise activities every night for just £5 annual membership and 50p per visit.
