HideOut Youth Zone has been shortlisted for a ‘Pride of Gorton’ award

It has been announced that HideOut Youth Zone has been shortlisted for a Pride of Gorton award, under the category Community Group/Team.

This award category aims to recognise a team or community group that has had an outstanding positive impact on the local community.

Nominations for the Pride of Gorton awards launched at the Gorton Carnival in July and closed 18th September.

An independent judging panel, organised by Greater Manchester Police, shortlisted each of the seven categories: community pride, community group/team, young achievement, clean and green, making a difference, people’s champion and outstanding service by a key worker.

CEO of HideOut Youth Zone, Adam Farricker, said:

“As a local lad growing up in Gorton, I’ve consistently seen the spirit of our community strive to bring around positive change in the area. There are so many great things happening to provide opportunities and hope to local people, and I’m glad that HideOut Youth Zone has been recognised as being part of that. I’m excited for the upcoming awards ceremony, for local people coming together, and celebrating everyone pushing for a promising future for Gorton.”

The award ceremony, which will be the ninth annual event, will take place on Sunday 30th October 2022 at Gorton Monastery.
