Founder Patron, Godel Technologies, renews its patronage to HideOut Youth Zone for an additional two years.

Nearshore software development company, Godel Technologies, has committed to an additional two years (2023/24 and 2024/25) of patronage having proudly been part of the Founder Patron campaign since 2019.

With its headquarters based in Manchester, Godel pledged to support the HideOut Youth Zone for an initial four years, offering thousands of young Mancunians the opportunity to develop the skills they need to overcome life’s challenges and develop the confidence and resilience they need to succeed.

Patrons are a group of individuals and companies united by a determination to give young people in Manchester somewhere safe to go, something positive to do and someone trusted to talk to. Patrons are key to the success of a Youth Zone.

HideOut’s Patrons’ contributions combine to create 60% of annual running costs. This is through a commitment of yearly donations, with some Patrons even committing to additional funds through corporate fundraising activities.

Since their Patronage began, Godel Technologies has fundraised for the Youth Zone by annually running the Great Manchester Run, holding an annual football tournament – The Kanban Cup – for Manchester’s coding community, and more recently, celebrated Manchester Day by cycling the distance from Godel’s office to HideOut on an exercise bike. A total of 15 team members peddled a combined total of 75km over 24 hours.

Patrons also offer much more than financial support, and often provide incredible opportunities, insight and support to HideOut through raising awareness of the Youth Zone’s mission.

In July, Godel attended the MCR DevCon 2023 and co-branded with HideOut, acting as advocates throughout the event.

Other support includes that in 2022, where CEO of HideOut Youth Zone, Adam Farricker, sat down with Godel Technologies on their podcast to discuss all things HideOut and Manchester. Godel also held a competition for HideOut’s young people to develop their own jingle which would be used on future podcast releases.

Speaking about the renewal, Director of Fundraising and Communications, Patti Holmes, said: “We’re so grateful that Godel Technologies has chosen to renew their patronage with HideOut Youth Zone. Godel has been a patron since before the Youth Zone itself was built, and they have played a huge part in the story so far.

“We’re excited to see what the next few years of this partnership will bring for HideOut Youth Zone and the young people we support.”

Neil McMurdo, CEO at Godel Technologies, said: “We are delighted to continue our support and patronage with HideOut Youth Zone. It has been fantastic to see what HideOut has achieved since the centre opened in 2019 and we are proud to have been part of their journey so far.

“We look forward to getting involved in more activities which will help raise awareness, support, and the vital funds to help enable the centre to continue to improve young people’s lives.”
